   Announcements & Notices&

This year the Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a St. Patty's Day Fair to be held at the Fair Haven Union High School on Mechanic St. in the cafeteria on March
16th, 2002. Featuring a variety of baked goods, crafts, preserves, and flea market items. The snow date is March 22nd. The Fair will be open from 10-4pm.

This years Spring Fling will be held on the Fair Haven Green May 25th, in accordance of the Memorial Day Parade. Over the last several years we have had a helicopter land mid-day and stay grounded for children and their families to explore. However, this is no longer possible because the Air National Guard has changed the size of the helicopter and its too large to fit in the desired landing space.

A suggestion has been brought up about creating a Sugarfest event in the spring. It would either be held at St. Mary's or in the park, weather permitting. Including a variety of local maple syrup producers with their goods, the process of how maple syrup is made, and a sampling of sugar on snow, one of Vermont's oldest traditions.
