Fair Haven
~ Saturday, May 25th: Memorial Day Parade, Main Street, 1:30pm including Spring Fling on the Fair Haven Green and Fireworks at the Grade School Park at dusk.
                     ~ Saturday, June 1st: Eagles Club "Tug of War" a charity event held on Academy Street
                    ~ Wednesday, July 17th through Saturday, July 20th: American Legion Carnival, held on the Main Street Park
                    ~ Saturday, September 21st: Apple Fest, Main Street Park, offering a variety of vendors, crafts, music, games, and apple products

Castleton ~ Saturday, May 25th: Memorial Day Parade down Main St. to the Castleton Cemetary 10 o'clock am
                    ~ Tuesday June 18th, and Tuesday, June 25th: Concerts on the Green, Main Street, 7pm (Rain site: Federated Church)
                    ~ Tuesday July 2nd: Concert at Crystal Beach, 7pm
                    ~ Wednesday July 3rd: Governor's Institute on the Arts Parade held on Main St. 10am  &  Lake Bomoseen Association Boat Parade at 2pm

Benson ~ Sunday August 11th: Family Day & Burdock Festival, BBQ, Tug of War, Parade, Sponsored by the Benson Fire Dept. and First Response
                ~ The Nature Conservancy's Shaw Mountain Natural Area, open from dawn to dusk, (no facilities available) offers a maintained looped trail. Approximately 2 miles long and passing through forests and wetlands, explore but please remember the motto: "Take only pictures, leave only footprints."

Orwell ~

West Haven ~ The Nature Conservancy's Helen W. Buckner Memorial Preserve at Bald Mtn. has pure beauty to show you. A maintained hiking trail begins just at the end of Galick Rd. a two mile loop traversing hills, fields, and several types of forest. A spur off the trail leads you to an information kiosk with an interpretive display. Open from dawn to dusk, however there are no facilities available, carry-in/carry-out rules apply.
